The Great Revival is part of the Curators ultimate vision for not only the Milky Way, but the Observable Universe as a whole. It is one part of their dual mission as a species; first, to learn how to best curate complex life including humans, and second, to breed beings superior to themselves with technology, just as their human ancestors did.
It involves creating planets just like Omega across every star with enough resources, with the moon-sized homes of Curators orbiting them. It is meant to be a great repeat of the [[Miracle Upon Miracles]], a great explosion of life, to be repeated infinitely across the universe until the end of time itself.
To initiate the Great Revival, the Curators must first establish Historian Shards in each applicable system. Then, they need a proof-of-concept that can be repeated across the galaxy.
It is not currently known what exact criteria the Curators are looking for before Omega is deemed sufficiently viable for human life. The Historian has said it values "civilization and harmony", but exactly how that is defined remains known only to Curators, and perhaps evolves over time. Alpha Praxis has calculated the most likely scenario based on available data: Curators follow [[Harmony Theory]] just as Gurpila does, but interpreted within a strictly Transhumanist ideology. All humans born during the Great Revival, potentially quadrillions or quintillions over Deep Time, will be pets of their presumed benevolent Curator overlords.
To the humans of Gurpila this is not harmony, it is a horror, even though they themselves must submit to the rule of Alpha Praxis for their own version of harmony. To an outsider, both versions of humanity may look like mere pets at the mercy of machines, but to the human experiencing it, whether one has living ideological overlords or a strictly neutral governing algorithm makes a profound difference.
## **The War of Billions Echoes Across the Universe**
During the [[War of Billions]], the [[Keeper]] managed to send self-replicating probes containing copies of itself to other galaxies. It is not known if the technology was advanced enough to survive such a journey and propagate at the other end. Curators, however, do not want to waste any time unless the Keeper lives on. They aggressively try to colonize other galaxies, starting with Andromeda, though not enough time has passed for success to be determined.
Ultimately, if even a single Keeper probe managed to self-replicate in a distant galaxy, the War of Billions will technically continue until the Historian hunts down the last copy of the Keeper.
